Travel along UNESCO heritage sites in Latvia. Start your guided journey at the Historical Centre of Riga, continuing on to the Art Nouveau district, internationally known for being one of the finest collections of this ornamental style of buildings in Europe and one of Riga’s most prized calling cards. Explore the traditional wooden districts of the city and take an eco-friendly boat expedition through a canal to truly absorb the magic of Riga.
Time to meticulously explore Kuldiga, a charming medieval town included in UNESCO’s Latvian National Register and discover its peace and harmony as you pass along pretty cobblestone streets with dynamically colourful houses, or by its naturally formed waterfalls or simply taking a lazy afternoon tea observing the slow life of this little red-roofed community.
On the way back to Riga you will stop in a family-owned winery. Here you will taste beverages produced not only from grapes but also from local fruits and berries as an excellent way of discovering how creative and modern Latvian producers can be.
This experience will be enriched by an expert local guide who will share information and stories not only about the history and architecture of the city but also of its daily social life, festivities and traditions, its food and drinking culture. You will have a gastronomic tour in Riga’s central market which is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Built between 1924-1930 and recognised by foreign experts as the biggest and the best in Europe. Today it hosts 5 pavilions where you will taste healthy and diverse Latvian countryside products.
