This 9-day journey of discovery will provide you with a detailed and profound opportunity to visit the most precious cultural and natural gems of this unique North European country.
You will start your journey in the historical centre of Vilnius, one of the largest intact historical cities in North Europe boasting an impressive complex of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical architecture. Here you will enjoy the free and open-minded spirit of this multicultural city known since medieval times as a place of tolerance. You will have the opportunity to listen to its stories, legends and history while visiting magical places such as the old town of Vilnius, the Jewish quarter and the bohemian Uzupis – the “independent” Republic of artists. You will encounter the beauty of Trakai, surrounded by its 3 pristine lakes and its unique island castle, You will discover the heritage of the Karaites derived from an ethnic Turkic speaking family while tasting their traditional plates in their family-run restaurant.
Your journey will continue you to Kernave, yet another remarkable UNESCO site and the first Lithuanian pagan capital representing an exceptional testimony of 10 millennium of human settlements in this region.
You will visit the Hill of Crosses – the impressive sanctuary containing thousands of crosses and you will become familiar with the unique world of cross crafting and its symbolism listed in UNESCO immaterial world heritage. During your trip, you will experience some of Lithuania’s impressive nature visiting another UNESCO heritage site, the 98 km long Curonian Spit, one of the most beautiful parts of the Baltics with immense drifting sand dunes rising up to 60 meters, among one of the highest in Europe. Here you will be able to walk on the dunes, to taste freshly smoked fish prepared from a unique Curonian recipe and to better understand the important role and history of amber.
Following your visit to this magical place, your journey will take you to Kaunas, the temporary capital of Lithuania between 1919 and 1939, with its splendid art deco architecture and numerous museums, including the M.K. Ciurlionis Museum, commemorating the remarkable work of world known composer and symbolist painter M. K. Ciurlionis, a pioneer of European abstract art.

Breakfast. Departure to Curonian Spit (UNESCO World heritage list from 2000). Stop at Amber Bay in Juodkrantė, climb the dunes. Visit of the Amber Museum, located in an old fisherman’s house in Nida where you can see all the 434 original-sized amulets from Juodkrantė’s Treasure. Degustation of amber infused drink. Lunch at a family-owned restaurant where you will enjoy freshly caught and smoked fish. Departure to Klaipeda. Overnight.
